Being a high schooler on home instruction in a town with a tiny library, I have somewhat limited access to research material. But I love to learn new things, about… everything.

I’m taking a High Middle Ages class right now and my head is spinng. Our professor recently passed some geneological charts and there are two Richard Is on one of them. Two! Because all the other people sharing the same few names wasn’t bad enough, now they share roman numerals.

I lost count of the Gruffudd ap Owains, and I’m sure there were two brothers with the same name at one point.
It’s impossible to be both sane and a student of Welsh history for long. The two states do not mesh.
